Position Overview: We are looking for a dynamic, talented, and highly motivated Cook to join our exceptional culinary team. Whether you specialize in Breakfast or Banqueting, your role will be key in delivering outstanding dishes with quality, consistency, and flair.
Key Responsibilities:
For Breakfast Cook:
- Prepare and cook a wide variety of breakfast dishes, ensuring a high level of quality and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, ensuring all kitchen safety standards are met.
- Assist in planning breakfast menus, suggesting seasonal dishes or specials to elevate the guest experience.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient breakfast service for all guests.
- Monitor inventory and report any shortages or issues to management.
- Ensure all food is prepared according to Marmorosch’s standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Ensure a high level of food safety and hygiene practices are adhered to at all times.
For Banqueting Cook:
- Prepare and cook food for large-scale events and banquets, ensuring that each dish meets the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Work closely with the banquet team to coordinate cooking schedules for large events, ensuring efficiency and timeliness.
- Assist in creating diverse menus for banquets, special events, and private parties.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring all hygiene and safety regulations are met during high-volume periods.
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portioning across different event setups.
- Communicate effectively with front-of-house and back-of-house teams to ensure smooth and successful event service.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role, particularly in high-end hotel kitchens or large-scale catering, is preferred.
- Passionate about food with a keen eye for detail and presentation.
- Knowledge of culinary techniques, cooking methods, and food safety regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing time and resources effectively.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Ability to adapt to changing demands and work well under pressure.
- Flexibility to work early mornings for the breakfast role or late nights for banqueting events.
