Maintenance Manager, Hampton Venice

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage the installation and maintenance of all equipment related to refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, electrical, and fire safety systems.
  • Maintain and operate equipment at optimum effectiveness, efficiency, and safety.
  • Oversee maintenance tasks, work orders, and special projects, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Establish and manage an effective rooms maintenance program.
  • Ensure compliance with all Engineering departmental policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Manage the department's controllable expenses to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.
  • Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of facilities to determine the type of work required.
  • Arrange and conduct additional services such as painting, repair work, renovations, and the replacement of furnishings and equipment.
  • Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Engineering Department.
  • Train Engineering Department staff on correct maintenance procedures and assist in repairs as needed.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records as required.
  • Assist in effectively planning, scheduling, and evaluating preventative maintenance programs.
  • Respond to guests' maintenance needs promptly and ensure guests receive professional, efficient, and courteous service to hotel standards.
  • Monitor and ensure the functionality of the hotel's firefighting and announcement systems; conduct periodic system tests.
  • Monitor the materials used to perform the job in accordance with the annual operating budget.


Requirements:

  • Advanced building management/engineering knowledge
  • Electrical or Civil Engineering degree preferred
  • BMS and HVAC experience advantageous
  • Team management experience
  • Available for on-call emergencies
  • Commitment to high-level customer service
  • Accountable and resilient
  • Good English language skills
